Some more of Carrick's sketches and studies of life in the Royal Garrison Artillery, Flanders. The book appears to have been produced entirely in July and August 1918 around Ypres after the German Spring Offensive had finally collapsed.

As a student Carrick distinguished himself in all of his classes with the exception of the drawing class were he struggled.
